Thanks to our great relationship with the university and our focus on local talent, we welcome a good number of students in imatia every year. These students are studying Engineering of Telecommunication Technologies and are coming from from the University of Vigo. During their stay with us, they will be introduced to the dynamics of their future work, as well as the extensive training. A part of this training is focused on our technology for software development: Ontimize.

During the course of this year, 16 student will participate in the program, of which 12 are in the imatia office in Vigo and 4 in A Coruña. All of them receive training in software development in imatia, as well as training on the use of Ontimize and other related applications, with the goal of being able to later apply the knowledge acquired during the 240 hours that their internship takes.

We believe that this is an amazing opportunity for these students, because they can make contact with the corporate world. At the same time they receive training in Ontimize, which  is a corporate framework that facilitates the use of main technologies (libraries, frameworks, languages, etc) which are used today for the development of business applications (Angular, Java, CSS3, HTML5, Spring, Android, iOS, etc). This results in knowledge that probably will be reused during their professional career.

At the same time, there is no doubt that for imatia this is an invaluable way to detect and capture talent, taking advantage of the fact that Vigo has one of the most prestigious ICT faculties in Spain. Some former interns are now a part of our team and can attest to the fact that some interns could actually turn out to become colleagues in the near future.
