During the third general assembly, held at the end of March in Maastrich (The Netherlands), the results of the first pilot of the platform were presented. This included three informal services (News, Events, Weather) and two cognitive games, which were tested by 300 people over 60 from three different countries: Cyprus, Slovenia and Romania (100 people per country). Although the contents of the applications were of great interest to the participants, they reported numerous difficulties in interacting with television, especially using the command pointer.
Currently, new informal services are being developed and will be incorporated into the platform for the second pilot, which will begin next August. These new services are oriented to the promotion of physical activity and healthy life, in addition to improving the autonomy and the interaction of the elderly with their environment: Wikipedia, Agenda, Maintenance at home and Tracker.
This second version of the platform will also have formal services for the control of certain medical parameters (tension, weight, blood glucose, etc.). In addition, for the services already presented, we will include usability improvements taking into account the opinion of older: lighter colors, larger fonts, use of cursors to navigate instead of pointer, etc.

In addition, a second brochure, generated by our Cypriot partners, was generated in order to promote the project:
