The project Senior TV, in which imatia participates together with other European companies and organizations, aims to develop an adapted and easily accessible platform installed in televisions, smartphones and tablets, allowing elderly people to access from their own homes A set of social and health services, which will facilitate their own care, improve their access to formal and informal care services and increase their family and community insertion.
Senior TV has been an important milestone for imatia, since it is the first project awarded in a European call. Its development, coordinated by the Institute of Neuroscience and Technology of Cyprus (CNTI), is advancing at the expected pace and will continue until November 2018. Companies from up to five countries are involved, in addition to imatia: Gluk Advice (Netherlands), Compexin SA – CPX (Romania), Dom Upokojencev Nova Gorica – DUNG (Slovenia), Development Center of Information and Communication Technologies Savinja Žalec, Ltd – RC-IKTS (Slovenia), Ana Aslan International Foundation (Romania) and Strovolos Municial Multi-Functional Foundation – SMMFF Cyprus).
One of the first phases of the project, co-financed by the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda and by the AAL Program of the European Union, took place last February in the Citexvi Building of the University of Vigo, where it is also The main imatia office.
