IMATIA PARTICIPATES IN GALICIA TIC 2011, ITS 9TH EDITION.
Once again, Imatia Innovation participated in the latest edition of Galicia TIC 2011, which took place on October 20th in Vigo. This year’s event focused on the latest technologies that are increasingly gaining relevance in this current socio-economic situation, including “Cloud Computing”, “social networks” and “RFID.
Ms. Mar Pereira, from the Secretary General of Technological Modernization and Innovation inaugurated the event, pointing out that cooperation among companies is a “basic tool to help companies gain enough strength and competitiveness to export technology”.
During the event, Imatia also organized a workshop titled “Automating Business Software Logic”, where it presented its new tool, Ontimize Logic to the Galician market. Fernando Vazquez, CEO of Imatia, headed the presentation, along with Mr. Val Huber, President of California-based Automated Business Logic and Cibrán Ledo, Project Manager at Imatia.
Ontimize Logic is based on rules that are defined following a declarative approach, similar to what is used in spreadsheets. Execution is managed automatically with Ontimize Logic in the event data becomes modified: update, eliminate and insert. Ontimize Logic adheres to the persistence layer JPA/Hibernate in a transparent manner, without the need for additional code.
Following the workshop, in an effort to optimize Mr. Huber’s visit in Spain, he also presented a conference titled “Global IT Strategy Trends”, in which a large number of attendees were present.
The mission was part of a networking event where, through Gainza Partners, a consultancy firm and its associates in Sao Paulo, various seminars and international consultancy sessions took place.
Fernando Vázquez, CEO and Founder at Imatia Innovation, assisted in representation of the company, in an effort, along with the other participating companies, to gain entry in Brazil’s emerging market. The event proved to be a success, as Mr. Vazquez was able to meet personally with various companies in the country, both providers as well as distributors.
