Imatia is one of 11Spanish Firms to develop an Offshore Windgenerator
In a project that is partly subsidized by Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation, Imatia participates with 10 other firms, including powerhouses Acciona Energía, Gamesa and Iberdrola in R&D activities in an effort to gain the needed know-how to develop a large, 15MW offshore windgenerator.
This initial R&D project will end in 2013 and the estimated costs rise to 25 million Euros. One of the primary objectives in this project is to set the stage to develop an actual windgenerator at sea by 2020.
